Bernard Coker

Bernard Coker

Lagos, Nigeria

Bernard is a gifted young man from Ilorin, a city rich with Yoruba and Fulani cultural influence, on the boundaries of Western Nigeria. His photography is inspired by exposing the wow factor in someone’s face or in the surrounding scenery. With a passion that’s been flourishing since he was a child, Bernard joyfully pushes himself to bring out personally powerful emotions through sophisticated photography techniques. His featured work, “The Tree and I” signifies time (the distance between the tree and the lady in red) and stability (the tree itself). It’s meant to convey the notion that stability in our lives can take a lifetime or just a moment.
